The Bardic Tales gaming system can, and has, been used to run games in many genres and settings, however, the setting which has been run the most is the Bardic Tales Fantasy setting. This setting is a fantasy world in which magic is real, and this area of the site describes the nature of magic and theories of how it operates.
This part of the site is going to be evolving. I have started it in the first week of March of 2002 to kick off the Alpha work on Revision 7.0.
Most of this is the magic appendix and the white paper broken out so we can go to work on it.
This can be used as a resource for use with the design and running of a campaign that utilizes magic, psi-powers, or miracles.
This is in no way the "right" way to do magic- it is merely what the founder of the game and his co-designers designed for his fantasy campaign.
You may default to the information here if you have no or ambiguous spell information from your GM and your GM is okay with it.
